Writings lostPulling out a notebook  Its cover caked with dust  I think I must have written  Stories in this once   
The letters they are faded  In poems that I’d crossed out  The stories I had hidden  And journals etched in doubt   
Pencils screamed rebellion  Pens, they wrote my heart  Speeches left unspoken  Too hesitant to start   
The wire bent and broken  Each page was ripped and torn  Although it looked disheveled  It was really just care-worn   
Thoughts that once were written  Now ignored and left alone  I think that I may give them Writings lost
